Physician consultation only by appointment                                                                                                                                    

Consultation every workday. You need to make an appointment in advance. A standard consultation takes 10 minutes. If you have multiple complaints or you need more time, you need to tell the assistant this when you make an appointment. The assistant can ensure that the GP has enough time for your consultation. Please take this in to consideration when you come with more than one person each with their individual complaints.

To make an appointment for a consultation, home visit or prescriptians please call the medical assistant on workdays between 08:00 am and 12:00 pm. The assistant will also help you with requests or can make an appointment for call-back consultation.

Before making the appointment the assistant will ask for the reason of your call. The assistant is qualified to make an estimade of the nature of complaints and the urgency.  The assistent is obliged (just like the GP) to treat your data confidentially.

If it is not possible for you to come to the practice by yourself the GP will come for a home visit. The medical assistant will determine if a home visit is required.  Home visit are not meant for patients who don’t have time nor transportation to come to the practice.

When you are inhibited to come at the arranged time, please be so kind to call the assistant to cancel your appointment.  If you forget to cancel the appointment, we will charge you a consultation fee.

Telephone consultation                                                                                                                                           

Between 08:00 am and 11:00 am the assistant is available to request a telephone consultation with the GP. The GP will call you back later that day on the agreed time.

Home visit                                                                                                                                                             

Between 08:00 am and 11:00 am on workdays  the assistent is available to request a home visit. Home visits are sheduled between 11:30 am and 14:00 pm or at the end of the afternoon.

Medical assistant consultation                                                                                                                                             

The medical assistant is the first contact person when you call the practice. She will make the appointments for consultation. She is able to answer many practical questions such as prescriptions and referrals. You can also call the assistent for the results of urine or blood tests and repeat prescriptions.

Further more the medical assistant is qualified to perform the following medical procedures:

Repeat prescriptions

Blood pressure monitoring

Smear test

Wart treatment

Bandage wounds

Syringe ears

Removing stitches

Pregnancy tests

Urine tests

Check blood sugar level

Please make an appointment for these procedures every working day from 08:00 am till 11:00 am.

The general practice is open from Monday untill Friday between 08:00 am and 17:00 pm.

 

Emergencies and Out of Hours Service                                                                                                                  

Available from 17:00 pm till 08:00 am, during weekends and official holidays. The doctor on duty is available only, for emergencies that cannot wait until your own doctor will be present. The doctor on duty can be reached at the general practice center Amstelland, located at the hospital Amstelland.
